St. Simon's Island Getaway

We spent several days on St. Simon's Island for mom's birthday. We left Laney with Zach's parents- and of course I worried about her constantly. She may be a (puppy) dog, but as far as I'm concerned I birthed her. If she could talk I'd probably never have children. (And I'm not even kidding.)

We didn't spend much time at the beach during the day. Unfortunately, the island has a no-dog policy for the beaches during the day. So we spent the days exploring the island- we definitely got our exercise in from all the walking! In the afternoons we walked the beaches and hunted for sea shells. We literally hoarded them in bags. I have no idea what we're going to do with all of them actually..

We took the typical beach pictures at the end of the week before we left- at the park and at the beach. Stressful, stressful, stressful! It's not an easy task using a tripod for group pictures. I used the timer mode, so I was literally running to join the group and rushing to fix my hair and pose as naturally as possible for each group picture. And don't even get me started on the mosquitoes. They were horrible- we were basically eaten alive at the park. At least you'd never know from the pictures!
